The Nordic and Baltic Wetlands Conference 3.-5.9.2013 in Ilulissat, Greenland
The theme of the conference is Baltic Wetlands in a time of climate change- mitigation, resilience and adaptation and it is arranged as a part of the Greenland Chairmanship (2012-2014) of the NorBalWet. The purpose of the conference is to respond to resolution XI.14 with recommendations on wetlands and climate change in the context of the Nordic Baltic region and with a special emphasis on the link to Arctic.and opportunities The goal of the conference is to identify impacts on wetlands and their function in regulating climate change and opportunities for solutions. The conference is co-hosted by the Ministry of Housing, Nature and Environment, Government of Greenland and the Danish Nature Agency. The Nordic Council of Ministers funds the conference.
